Dear Family and Friends,
For over 40 years, I have been a pediatric physical therapist, but the mission of Joyful Motion is deeply personal to me, and others. Years ago, I experienced the uncertainty and worry that happens when your child struggles to keep up with peers. With guidance from trusted professionals, our family found the therapy support we needed. Progress took time, but the transformation was remarkable. Today, our grown children are confident, successful in their personal lives and careers, and truly happy.
That journey opened my eyes to families who face similar challenges but lack the financial resources to access care. After owning a successful clinic for 20 years, we created Joyful Motion Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit pediatric therapy clinic near downtown Palm Harbor. Most importantly, we retained our exceptional team of dedicated, highly skilled therapists who have helped hundreds of children grow stronger through Occupational, Physical, Speech-Language, and Feeding Therapy. I have volunteered my services with them since 2023.
Insurance covers less each year, and rising deductibles place a heavy burden on families. We see firsthand how many children still need support. Our goal is simple: to treat children regardless of their ability to pay. The more funding we receive, the more children our team can serve.
On April 11, we are hosting a 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk to raise funds so we can continue expanding services to children in need.
