WHAT IS MY RACE AGE?

All participants shall compete based on their age on December 31, 2026. USA Triathlon dictates that an athlete's age for all sanctioned races is determined by their age on December 31 of the competition year. Athletes "age up" at the beginning of the year, not on their actual birthday. For example, if you turn 35 anytime in 2026, you will race in the 35-49 year old category for the entire year.

Adult age group ranges (5 year increments):

19 & younger, 20-24 yr, 25-29 yrs, 30-34 yr, 35-39 yr, 40-49 yr, 50-54 yr, 55-59 yr, 60-64 yr, 65-69 yr, 70-74 yr, 75-79 yr, 80-84 yr, 85-89 yr.

PRE-RACE COURSE TALK

The Pre-Race Course talk will cover important information about the race and include a question and answer segment. If you are a first timer, attending the pre-race course talk is recommended.

  • Saturday, June 13 at race venue at Clemens Crossing Pool (grassy field) at 5:00 PM

TRANSITION CLINIC

A FREE transition clinic will be held to learn best practices for transiting from swim to bike and bike to run. The transition clinic is open to all registered participants. This clinic is recommended for first time participants.

  • Saturday, June 13 in the Transition area of race venue at 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM

BODY MARKING

Body marking will take place at the Timing Chip tent on race day, 6:15 AM - 7:45 AM. It is the athlete’s responsibility to ensure that volunteers mark their age as of December 31, 2026, which corresponds to the age division in which the athlete will compete. Please do not apply sunscreen, oil, Vaseline or lotion until AFTER you have been body marked.

TRANSITION AREA

The transition area will open at 6:15 AM - 7:45 AM on race day. The transition area is for ATHLETES ONLY. The transition area will have volunteers to help athletes with their bike/gear. Family and friends must remain outside of the transition area (outside of mesh fencing) before, during and after the race. This is a FIRM USA Triathlon rule. If you would like to be inside the transition area during the race, please consider volunteering.

FINISH LINE

Participants will receive a finisher medal and bottled water at the finish line.  Race staff will collect your timing chip here as well.

RACE RESULTS

LIVE results will be published throughout the race. Use your mobile phone to go to RESULTS and click on Columbia Association Triathlon. On the results web page, enter your bib number or name to view your individual results.
