Every day of the year The Haven provides a refuge, a place where anyone in a housing crisis can come to find the support and resources they need to survive and exit their crisis.

The Haven endeavors to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring for our neighbors in the Charlottesville area. Motivated by radical hospitality, we strive to be the point of entry for people seeking stable housing. We open the doors wide for any and everyone, no matter their circumstances. 

Consider how your support can have a direct impact on our neighbors: 

• $50 covers a rental application fee, a critical step in accessing housing!
• $200 pays for a hot and nutritious breakfast meal, serving upwards of 100 people
• $400 helps a neighbor pay half of their monthly rent in shared housing, while they work towards long-term housing stability
• $600 provides a month's worth of utilities to keep the shelter warm in these bitterly cold months, to provide over 500 showers (our monthly average!), and so much more
• $3,000 covers the initial costs for a family to move into a 2-bedroom apartment
