Half Marathon
Prepare for a fast, flat, double out-and-back, two-lap course that's perfect for chasing your personal record! The race begins at the Stenger Sports Complex and immediately connects with the scenic Van Bibber Creek Trail. Runners head west for about 2.5 miles to hit the first turnaround point. The design of this course means great visibility! On your return eastward, you'll complete a loop that brings you back toward the start area to begin your second lap—it’s a perfect spot to clock your Strava lap. After completing the eastbound section for the second time, you'll head straight for the finish line! To keep you energized, the route features 10 aid station stops and 4 restroom stops. Plus, this course is designed with spectators in mind: your fans can easily cheer you on from a spot near the venue where you'll pass by three times!

Venue, Parking, and Spectators
Venue location
Stenger Soccer Complex, 11200 W 58th Ave, Arvada, 80002
You must enter only from the Quali St./58th Ave intersection (see the green star in the image below).
Parking
No worries about parking! Athletes & spectators park in the west lot, in blue in the image to the right. The venue parking lot will be locked at 1p, after the last athlete has finished. Do not leave your vehicle at the venue after you finish the event.
Spectators
Bring your fans! The Polar Prowl course is designed to be incredibly spectator-friendly.
We've highlighted an ideal viewing area that is just a short walk from the venue. This location is key because:
- Half Marathon athletes will pass this spot three times!
- 5K and 10K athletes will pass it once before making their final dash to the finish line.
- Look for the green circle on the course map image to find this cheering zone!
