RUN COURSE - 1 MILE
Each duathlon features two 1-mile runs on a scenic course through Bank Run Metro Park. Athletes begin with the opening run, transition to the bike, and return for a final 1-mile run to the finish line.
BIKE COURSE - 4 MILES
Enjoy a fast, flat beginner-friendly 4-mile bike course around the Bank Run Metro Park. Athletes complete the bike portion before returning to transition for their final run.

TIME ACTIVITY
7:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. Athlete Check-In - Athletes must be checked in at least 20 minutes before the start of their race
7:00 A.M. - 7:50 A.M. Transition Area Open and Closes - Race #1 (NOTE: Transition is closed for each race until 15:00 minutes before the Start of the next race)
8:00 A.M. Race #1 – Single Shot
9:00 A.M. Race #2 – Double Down
10:00 A.M. Race #3 – Hat Trick
Athletes registered for Double Down or Hat Trick will compete in consecutive races based on their selected challenge. Each race is timed and scored separately.
Please arrive early to complete check-in, prepare your transition area, and attend any pre-race instructions.

1 What is the Bank Run Hat Trick Duathlon?
A unique multisport event featuring three separate duathlon races in one morning! Each race consists of a 1-mile run, 4-mile bike, and 1-mile run. Athletes choose to complete one, two, or all three races.
2. What are my registration options?*
- Single Shot – 6 Miles: Complete one duathlon.
- Double Down – 12 Miles: Complete two duathlons.
- Hat Trick – 18 Miles: Go ALL IN and complete all three duathlons!
3. What time do the races start?
Three races are scheduled throughout the morning:
- Race #1 – 8:00 AM
- Race #2 – 9:00 AM
- Race #3 – 10:00 AM
Each race has its own start, finish, and individual results.
4. Do I have to complete all three races?
Absolutely not! Choose the challenge that fits your fitness level and goals. Whether you're taking a Single Shot or going ALL IN for the Hat Trick, everyone is welcome.
5. Is this event beginner-friendly?
Yes! The short distances make this a great opportunity for first-time duathletes, runners, cyclists, and experienced athletes looking for a fun training challenge.
6. How does the Double Down or Hat Trick work?
Athletes completing multiple races will return to the starting line for their next scheduled race. Each race is independently timed, allowing athletes to compare their performance across rounds.
7. Will there be time to recover between races?
Yes! The races start one hour apart, giving athletes who finish early time to recover, refuel, and prepare for their next race. Recovery time will depend on individual finishing times.
8. Do I need a special bike?
No! Road, hybrid, and mountain bikes are welcome, provided they are in safe working condition. All cyclists must wear a properly fitted helmet.
9. Will there be a transition area?
Yes. A designated transition area will be available for athletes to rack their bikes and prepare for the run-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions.
10. Will I receive a race shirt?
Yes! Registered athletes receive an official Bank Run Hat Trick Duathlon performance shirt featuring our casino-inspired event design. Each athlete receives one shirt regardless of the number of races entered.
11. Will I receive a finisher medal?
Yes! Every finisher receives a unique poker chip finisher medal. Double Down finishers also earn a special charm, while Hat Trick finishers receive both the Double Down charm and an exclusive gold ALL IN charm. Each athlete receives one base medal, not a separate medal for every race.
12. Will there be awards?
This event emphasizes participation, personal achievement, and having fun rather than traditional age-group awards. Each race will have its own timed results, but there are no traditional overall or age-group awards.
13. Where is the event held?
Bank Run Metro Park in the Columbus, Ohio, area. Course maps, parking information, and race-day instructions will be available on the event website.
14. What happens if it rains?
