The temps are between 60 to 67 degrees Farenheit in September, however, July is around the same....Bear Lake is just chilly; wearing a wetsuit is highly recommended.
Most wear a full size, but it is up to you. We get short sleeves as well.
We have a support truck with pumps tools and tubes.
Yep. Rain or shine as well. We alter the course if the rain or snow impacts it.
We do no refunds due to fees that accrue with registering for the race (Tshirts, timing bib, finisher's medal, etc); the option that would have given a full refund is if you paid for race insurance during registration...race insurance covers things like health and medical issues. If you did not pay for race insurance, the only option is the deferral or transfer policy.
We offer race insurance at only 8.1% of race fees that would cover things like this until race day. It is a third party company so you get your money and we do not lose money on having to purchase all your race swag.
At this point we have you running even if you don't show up. The only other option at this point is you give or sell your bib to someone else. Wish we could do more. 3/4 of your race fees goes to your race and those have already been spent at this point in the race.
We have one of the more generous policies in the industry as to deferrals and transfers. We do our best to help people if it means we do not lose money. In your situation we would be upside down.
It is like a plane flight or a ticket to a concert. Only difference our margin is smaller than theirs and we have a less chance to resell it. Hope you understand and hope your recovery goes well.
No, you do not.
No, however, the parents are liable for the kid they sign up and need to be aware of the danger.
