Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your registration is tax-deductible minus the value of the items received ($12 per registration). All donations are fully tax-deductible. To claim a part of your registration as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. While fundraising is optional, your support in fundraising helps SIHC and the Boys & Girls Club of America support children all across San Diego. We can't do it without you!
Participants can choose to walk, run, or a combination of the two.
We ask that all children, including newborns and toddlers, please register for liability purposes.
- Ages 0-5: Register for free! Medals and shirts are not guaranteed but will be given based on availability.
- Ages 6-17: Enjoy special youth pricing, automatically applied at checkout.
Bikes and scooters are not permitted to ensure the safety of all participants.
Yes! ADA parking is available with limited spots.
We are committed to making our 5K race accessible to all participants. Rest areas will be available for those who need to take breaks.
Yes, the course is wheelchair accessible. We encourage all participants of varying abilities to join. If you have specific accessibility questions, please contact us at development@sihc.org.
Our Boys & Girls Club of Kumeyaay Nation Wellness 5K Walk & Run will happen rain or shine. Please prepare accordingly to your comfort needs.

Yes, portable restrooms will be available near the park.
Absolutely! Forming a team is a great way to run or walk together while supporting a great cause. You can create or join a team during registration.
Yes, same-day registration will be available beginning at 6:30am near the entrance of the park. However, we strongly encourage registering in advance to avoid delays.
Yes! We’ll have photographers on-site capturing the excitement. Be sure to check your email and our website after the event for photos.
Southern Indian Health Council does not offer refunds; your registration fee is considered a tax-deductible donation supporting our mission. If you made an error during registration or have questions, please contact us at development@sihc.org or 619-445-1188.
All registrars will receive a medal after completing the 5K. Adult registrars will receive a t-shirt. Youth registrars between the age of 6-17 will receive t-shirts while supplies last.
