Description
2nd annual Manitou 5K! Come celebrate the beauty of Manitou Springs! Race starts and ends in Fields park. Run along the rolling creek, view the art along the Creekwalk, loop the beautiful parks full of murals, sculptures, disc golf, skateparks and more. The path is flat and accessible to all. Run/walk. Bring your family, bring your neighbor, bring your friends! See map attached. Chip timed by Pikes Peak Road Runners (PPRR). T-shirt designed by MSSD14 art students. All proceeds go to Manitou Springs School District.
Race day details
Parking - There is free parking along El Paso Blvd and a parking lot across Beckers Lane near Mustang/Maestas field. A half block to the east you can find parking at the Buffalo Lodge if you head to their back parking lot, and a half block to the west in the Manitou Aquatic Center parking lot. One mile away is the Manitou Springs Middle and High school parking lots that are free and available.
Race-day schedule - Bibs available for pick up starting at 8am in Fields Park near the starting line. Race starts at 9am.
Race results - once the race starts there will be a button on the top right of this registration site that says, "RESULTS". We have more award categories this year!
To celebrate our youngest and up and coming runners we will add a winner for ages <8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, in addition to 1st/ 2nd/3rd M/F under 40 and 1st/2nd/3rd M/F Masters (40 and up)

5K Course - New and improved course! Come celebrate the beauty of Manitou Springs! Race starts and ends in Fields park. Head east along the Creekwalk towards the bridge where the first race in Manitou was held in 1919! Go across the Adams Crossing Bridge, and run past the Manitou arch with an iconic view of Pikes Peak. Follow the side walk until it turns onto Beckers land and over the flower tiled bridge and back over to Fields park. From there you go around Fields park viewing the new art installations along the perimeter. Enter the creekwalk path that follow a fantastical mural. Head across Mayfair to the dirt path along the bubbling creek. This crosses over another bridge and up El Paso towards Memorial Park. Once at Memorial park turn onto Old Mans Trail and then begin the super speedy return to Fields Park. Cross the grassy finish line. Enjoy Kangaroo coffee, snacks and entertainment in the park. Awards to follow the final finisher.
The path is flat and accessible to all. Run/walk. Bring your family, bring your neighbor, bring your friends! Please no strollers, baby joggers, animals, bikes, trikes, earbuds or headphones. See map and course highlights attached below.
Toilets - There is a restroom and porta pottys in Fields park and porta pottys at the half way point near the turn around at Memorial park.
Volunteers - This entire event is put on by MSSD14 students, staff, parents, with all proceeds going to the school. Snack, drink, music and lively environment at the end of the race! Party in the Park! Come and enjoy!

Cancellation/refunds - Refunds are not allowed for this race. We will run in any weather so please dress appropriately! In the incredibly unlikely event that this race is cancelled due to unsafe weather or situations, we will have T-shirts available for pick up at an advertised time/place and hope you will still get out on a 5K run or walk when possible! We sincerely appreciate your support of our schools, staff and students!
