Through the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K Official Charity Bib Program, the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K provides invitational entries to the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K to select non-profit organizations. Non-profit organizations use these entries to recruit athletes who pledge to raise funds for their cause. For selection into the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K Official Charity Program, the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K greatly values organizations that focus on building healthy communities.

With the support from everyday runners, charity runners and sponsors, the Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K has now exceeded $1.7 million dollars in total donations since 2017. In 2025, $609,000 was given out to over 66 official charity partners. 

The deadline for the 2026 Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K Charity Bib Application is Thursday, April 30, 2026. 

Charity bibs are available for all race weekend races: 

• 5K charity bib - $500 minimum fundraising requirement 
• Half Marathon charity bib - $1500 minimum fundraising requirement
• The Challenge charity bib - $2000 minimum fundraising requirement 

All charity runners have the option of opting into an automatic registration fee refund if they raise double their minimum. 

Donations towards the fundraising commitment are due by 11/8/2026 @ 11:59PM. Credit cards will be charged for the difference in commitment on 11/9/2026.
