FAQ

How can I set up a fundraising page? Can I fundraise as a team?

  • Follow the instructions below to set up a personal fundraiser or a group fundraiser if you didn't set one up as part of registration!
  1. Sign In to RunSignup
  2. Go to your Profile
  3. Click My Registered Races
  4. Click Manage next to the registration to Manage
  5. Click Fundraiser in the Top Menu to begin. The "Fundraiser" tab will redirect you to the "Donate" tab of the race page and you will be able to set up a personal or group fundraiser.

Can I defer my race registration?

  • Yes! You can defer up to 2 years. Things come up that may prevent you from participating this year, please contact us if you wish to defer your registration. We do not offer refunds as this is a fundraising event.

What pace do I need to walk/run?

  • Roads will be closed to through traffic from 10:25-12:45. If you require more time to complete your race you will be asked to continue on the sidewalk/side of the road where sidewalks are not available. That is a 38:42 minute mile pace in the 5k and a 19:21 minute mile pace in the 10k.

How do I submit results if I am participating virtually?

  • Directions will be emailed out closer to the race

I am a cancer survivor, cancer is expensive and registering is a barrier to my participation - what should I do?

  • We are on a mission to enable exercise, let us help! We seek sponsorship to support free registration for cancer survivors who need a little financial support so you can experience the race for free. If you need a code for free race registration please email chemoday10k@gmail.com or use the contact us form on the home page! Just say you are reaching out for a free code, we don't ask for any medical or financial information. You will still recieve all of the same race materials and experience.

Will the course distance be certified?

  • Yes, both the 5k and 10k distances will be certified this year.

Will this race be timed?

  • Yes, we will have professional timing at the event. (feel free to ignore your time if thats not your vibe)

This is my first race, how do I participate?

  • We will send out a race day schedule closer to the race along with suggested parking and cheering locations. Over 15% of our participants last year were first time road racers. Not only do we welcome new racers, we want you to participate! If you have ANY questions please reach out. We are here to help!

Will there be raffles for fundraising and training againt this year?

  • YES! We are SO excited to continue having raffles this year. We will have an 8 week fundraising raffle and a 12 week training raffle. Details will be sent out closer to the event. Briefly:
    • Fundraising raffle - 8 weeks before the race, anyone registered for the race that raises any amount of money each week on their fundraising site will recieve a raffle ticket and have the chance to win prizes!
    • Training raffle - 12 weeks before the race, anyone registered for the race that exercises for any amount of time each week (and tracks it via an application we will send out) will recieve a raffle ticket and have the chance to win prizes!
