Dare to Tri - Fort Eisenhower Sprint Triathlon

Sat March 30, 2024 Fort Eisenhower, GA 30905 US Directions

Course Description

SWIM:
The swim is a 300 meter pool swim in the Fort Gordon Indoor 50m Pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. Being a pool swim race, participants must submit an estimated 100 meter swim time when registering. These times are used for seeding purposes. It is in your best interest to submit a time as accurate as possible. Submitting a time that is too fast for you puts you up with swimmers who will be passing you during the swim – not good for you or them. Putting a time that is too slow places you with slower swimmers and forces you to have to pass everyone. The ideal scenario for all participants is to have people submit accurate times – the whole swim flows better.  Swim caps will not be provided for this event.

The swim start process involves all the Age Groupers, Collegiates, Clydesdales, Active Duty Military, Athenas, and Relay Teams going off first, followed by all the Novices.

SWIM START INFO -
We use a time trial start for the swim.  Athletes will be lined up by bib number to start according to swim pace.

If you need to change your swim time (per 100 M), you can do this yourself through your RunSignUp Athlete profile, and choose Upcoming events > Dare To Tri > Manage Registration > Questions (tab in gray up top).

To guide you, swim times will fall somewhere between a world record speed of 46.91/100M - the average triathlete around 1:45/100M - a very timid new swimmer of 5:00/100M. Please try to be as accurate as possible.  You will have a much more enjoyable swim if you put in the correct swim time.

BIKE:
The bike course is a 10 mile loop.. The course is rolling to hilly and takes place completely on the Fort Gordon base. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.
