Yes, this is a USAT-sanctioned event. RunSignup features native USAT integration, meaning your membership status will be automatically validated during registration. If you do not have an active annual membership, the system will seamlessly prompt you to purchase a one-day event license or an annual membership during checkout. Tip: Ensure the name and date of birth you use on RunSignup exactly matches your USAT profile to avoid validation errors.
Yes, if an event sells out more than 2 weeks early, a waitlist may be opened. Please note that joining the waitlist does not guarantee a spot in the race. In fact, it is highly unlikely that spots will open up. Our capacity is strictly capped, so a spot only opens if a currently registered athlete transfers to our final race.
Here is how the waitlist works:
-
Availability: Waitlists are managed strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
-
Notification: If a spot becomes available, the first person on the list will be notified via email.
-
Time Limit: If selected, you will have exactly 24 hours to claim and pay for your registration. If you do not claim it within the 24-hour window, the spot will automatically be offered to the next athlete in line.
-
Triathlon: Swim, Bike, Run.
-
Duathlon: Run, Bike, Run (replaces the opening swim with a run).
-
Aquabike: Swim, Bike (skips the final run).
-
Sprint: [ 600m swim / 10-15 mile bike / 5km run]
-
Sprint XL: July race only [ 750m swim / 22.6 mile bike / 5km run ]
-
Intermediate: July race only [ 1500m swim / 22.6 mile bike / 10km run ]
-
Note: The Duathlon replaces the swim with a 5km run.
-
Note: Aquabike does not complete the final run leg, but is required to exit transition with the runners and cross the finish line.
For the Aquabike, your official race time stops the moment you cross the finish line. This means, after racking your bike, exit the transition with the runners and follow the direction to the finish line.
No. While many athletes ride triathlon-specific or road bikes, you are welcome to ride a mountain bike, hybrid, or gravel bike. [E-bikes are strictly prohibited]. All bikes must have bar-end plugs and functional brakes, which will be checked before entering transition.
We offer relay options for the Triathlon (Swim/Bike/Run), Duathlon (Run/Bike/Run), and Aquabike (Swim/Bike).
-
Triathlon: 2 or 3 members. (If 2 members, one person will complete two of the three legs).
-
Duathlon: 2 or 3 members.
-
Aquabike: 2 members (One swimmer, one cyclist).
Select one of the relay events:
-
The Team Captain registers first. During registration, select "Yes" under the "Would you like to join a Group/Team" prompt, then select Create New Group/Team.
-
Choose your Team Type (e.g., Sprint Triathlon Relay) and create a Team Name and optional password.
-
Team Members will then go through the standard registration process, select Join an Existing Group/Team, and search for the Team Name created by the captain. Note: Every single member of the relay team must complete their own RunSignup registration so they can sign the mandatory digital waivers and validate their USAT status.
The timing chip acts as your "baton."
-
Triathlon/Aquabike: The swimmer will exit the water, run to the designated team bike rack in the transition area, and physically hand the timing chip strap to the cyclist. The cyclist must strap the chip to their ankle before removing the bike from the rack.
-
Duathlon: The first runner hands the chip to the cyclist at the bike rack in the transition area.
-
For events with a final run: The cyclist returns the bike to the rack in the transition area, then hands the chip to the runner, who must strap it to their ankle before heading out onto the run course.
Yes! The final active member of your relay team will complete the final leg, but team members are encouraged to meet their finishing athlete at the start of the final finisher chute, so the whole team can cross the finish line together and receive their medals.

The park opens at 6:00 am.
We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your scheduled wave start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your timing chip, get body marked, set up your gear in the transition area, and warm up without feeling rushed.
The transition area opens at 6:00 am for all athletes. Important USAT Rule: For the safety and security of all athletes' gear, only registered athletes are allowed inside the transition area. Family, friends, and pets must remain outside the fencing.
Timing Chips will be issued on race day. To pick up your chip and get body marked, you must present one of your printed race numbers; no exceptions.
-
Timing Chip: Fasten the velcro strap securely around your left ankle. Wearing it on the left keeps it away from your bike's drivetrain. You must wear the chip for the entire race.
-
Race Bib: Your paper race number must be worn during the run portion of the event (worn on your front). It is optional on the bike (worn on your back). You do not wear the paper bib during the swim. Tip: A race belt makes it easy to snap on your bib in transition!
-
Bike/Helmet Numbers: The adhesive numbers provided in your packet must be attached to your bike frame and the front of your helmet.
Per USAT rules, this depends on the water temperature on race morning:
-
78.0°F or below: Wetsuits are legal and eligible for awards.
-
78.1°F to 83.9°F: You may wear a wetsuit, but you will not be eligible for age group awards.
-
84.0°F or higher: Wetsuits are strictly prohibited. We will post preliminary water temperatures leading up to the race and announce the official temperature on race morning.
Yes. There will be three aid stations on the run course serving water. For the bike course, athletes are responsible for bringing their own hydration, as there are no on-course aid stations.
No. Per USAT safety regulations, headphones, earbuds, and portable audio devices are strictly prohibited on the course at all times. Using them will result in a time penalty or disqualification. We need you to be able to hear volunteers, police, and other athletes around you.
