Firebolt Youth Triathlon

Bolt Multisport, Inc is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization (EIN number is 82-2047028.)  A portion of our profits go to local contributing non-profit groups like the youth Tsunami Swim Team and Buena Mountain Bike Team.  The remaining funds get forwarded on to growing the next event.    We are a great community activity, a wonderful outlet for kids and an accommodating event for special needs kids. 

In the span of just 3 years, youth triathlon has grown from an idea to reality right here in Southeast Arizona.  Bolt Multisport, has provided the community of Sierra Vista with not one, but two top tier kids sporting events per year.  We’ve made possible the opportunity for kids of all ages and abilities to try out multisport.  Triathlon is a sport that I didn’t have the opportunity to get involved in until I was 30 years old and I know of many individuals who never really had the opportunity at all.  Triathlon is such a wonderful sport not only because of the exposure it gives kids to multiple disciplines, but also because of the incredible people that make up the sport.  We have seen amazing things happen like special needs kids do things what adults couldn’t do.  We’ve seen the community come out and support an event that changed kids’ lives.  We’ve filled a need that every community has- one more chance to positively affect the lives of kids through a family activity, a community activity an individual journey. 

Generous people and organizations in and around Sierra Vista have supported the Thunderbolt and Firebolt Youth Triathlons.  We have been able to put on great events with worthy awards, cool t-shirts, a collectable finishers coin, top notch competition and all the little perks that treat kids for job well done.  Donations have allowed us to support winning performances for kids all over southern Arizona and beyond.  USA Triathlon has recognized the Firebolt Youth Triathlon by making us part of the USAT Regional Championship Series going on three years now.  We’ve partnered with Premier Alliances, Inc. to help us reach out and bring in more kids with special needs.  We refer to these incredibly brave little individuals as “Champions.”  The kids are all champions in our eyes as each individual has overcome a challenge in getting across that finish line.  We want to bring out the “champion” in kids by continuing to give them the opportunity to get involved, grow their skills and improve their lives through multisport.    

Few other organizations  in Sierra Vista have the potential to make such a powerful and positive impact in the lives of so many young folks and families — from the youngest children learning to kick across the pool, to overall medal winners of today and tomorrow.
