All donations go to Miggy's Gift, a local non-profit organization that advocates and educates children and young adults about the dangers of unprotected sun exposure, the importance of skin cancer prevention, and urgency of early detection.
In addition, Miggy's Gift financially and emotionally assist families with a newly diagnosed childhood cancer at home, providing gift cards to assist with unexpected gasoline, groceries, hotel accommodations, and transportation expenses.
Lastly, Miggy's Gift provides two scholarships per year to MDC Students participating in the Video Game Design, and Animation track. To date, 12 MDC students have received the Stephen "Miggy" Chavez Scholarship.
