About the Dream Team:
The Dream Team was born in 2016 after wish dad, Dan VanSkiver decided to make his race more meaningful as a way to give back to Make-A-Wish Michigan in honor of his son Trevor. Trevor was diagnosed with cancer at just two years old. “One giant break we received from Trevor’s grueling 3+ year-long battle and treatment was a family trip to Disney World. This was no ordinary trip to Disney, this was a trip through Make-A-Wish Michigan.  It was the exact escape we needed to take a rest from doctor visits, chemotherapy, physical therapy, etc.  Much needed family time…fun…love…hope” said Dan.

 The Dream Team has continued on each year since 2016, and many wishes have been granted to Michigan children facing critical illness thanks to the support of so many participants who fundraise for Make-A-Wish Michigan through their race.
