The Blue Ribbon Run is a 501C3 nonprofit organization whose purpose is to raise money for a cure for colorectal cancer, to raise awareness for prevention and to help those in our community battling colon cancer.
The Blue Ribbon Run was founded ten years ago to honor two Wilmington moms, Julie M. Brown and Christina Gianoplus, who both lost their battles at the young age of 41. The Blue Ribbon Run has established an endowment in their names at UNC-Lineberger to help find a cure for this third leading cause cancer death.
