PPTC Cherry Tree 10 Miler and Relay

Through PPTC's Community Partner Initiative, we provide the opportunity for all of our race participants to help support local non-profits.  With your generous donations from the 2026 Cherry Tree, PPTC will provide financial support to the Prospect Park Alliance, CHiPS, and Camp Rising Sun.

The Prospect Park Alliance is the non-profit organization that sustains “Brooklyn’s Backyard,” and PPTC's home base, working in partnership with the City of New York. The Alliance was founded in 1987 to help restore Prospect Park after a long period of deterioration and decline. Your participation in the Cherry Tree 10-Miler and Relay helps support the Alliance's work to provide the critical staff and resources that keep the park green and vibrant for the diverse communities that call Brooklyn home.  You will witness the fruits of the Alliance's efforts all along the Cherry Tree route!  For more information, please visit the Alliance's website, www.prospectpark.org

Founded over 50 years ago, CHiPS (Community Help in Park Slope), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals facing food and housing insecurity in New York City. Through our soup kitchen, pantry programs, and Frances Residence for mothers and children, we provide nourishing meals, essential resources, and a pathway to stability with dignity and compassion.  We are located at 200 Fourth Avenue, right between Park Slope and Gowanus.  Please check out our website at:  https://chipsonline.org/

For 95 years, LAJF has been committed to helping young people grow intellectually, ethically, and globally.  We do this by operating our Rising Sun programs. Camp Rising Sun is a full-scholarship, summer leadership program for teenagers from more than 30 different countries and 10 U.S. states.  Each summer, 60 young men and 60 young women practice leadership skills in a supportive community of peers and counselors. The mission of the Louis August Jonas Foundation is to develop in promising young people from around the world a lifelong commitment to compassionate and responsible leadership for the betterment of their communities and the world. https://www.lajf.org/

The PPTC Cherry Tree Race Committee thanks you for your generosity!

The Prospect Park Track Club (PPTC) is recognized by the IRS as a not-for-profit tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization.  Your PPTC Community Partner Initiative donations may be tax-deductible for federal and state income tax purposes pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code and applicable state law.
