Course Map Half Marathon
Course Description
Drop13 Half Marathon starts near Solitude Ski Resort and runs down 3000+ decline over 13.1 Miles with only a few areas that level out. This is considered by many the fastest Half Marathon in Utah. This time of the year we have the Spring run off and rivers are flowing and mountains are green and lush. Expect great mountain views and pine trees. The race starts with a cooler temp but not cold and it allows for a great temp to run with. Aid stations are at Miles 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11.55. They all have Water, Powerade, Bathroom and Relief Kit which includes Bandaids, Feminine Napkins, Muscle Rub Heat, Body Lube. Mile 8 has GU Gels. This is a USATF certified course which means it is measured for exact distances with calibrated bikes. If this was a marathon it could qualify you for the Boston Marathon however as a Half Marathon and a USATF Certified course it will qualify you for races like NYM and Chicago and others that take Half Marathons.
5K Route
5K Course Map
This map is an out and back. It starts near the finish line and runs out and back on the same route on the Half Marathon course turning around at the first aid station and coming back. Obviously the route back is faster than the route out. The racers will start on the right side of the trail and return on the right to avoid on coming racers. The turn around aid station has water, Powerade, Relief Kit with Bandaids, Feminine Napkins, Body Lube, Muscle Heat Rub and bathroom.
