Battle by the Brook

The Competitive Race is a mixture of mountain biking, orienteering, cross country running, climbing, rappelling, target sports and watercraft challenges (race provides all watercraft). Open to all ages (NOTE: This race is rugged). Teams from this heat will be competing for the ultimate bragging rights and the chance to be entered into the Rocky Mountain Adventure Series Championship! USARA Sanctioned. Teams may consist of 1 - 4 persons.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. Teams will start their race at a specific time (you will find out your time on race day). Hard stop at 3pm.
For experienced racers as well as new adventure race athletes.
Timed event with overall finish time and included in results
Awards given to top TEAM in each division (1, 2, 3 & 4 person).
Each team member, must have a mountain bike with gears to participate in this category and be experienced at riding their bike on trails.
All team members must stay together at all times during the race.

For athletes/families who just want to have a great time and enjoy the experience but are not so worried about overall finish time or place at the race. Shorter course than competitive race. Must have one parent/guardian on the team. Teams must have a minimum of 2 people with at least one adult. MAX of 6.

Bikes are NOT required to participate in this division, but are fun (and may give you a speed advantage)! You may run/walk/hike instead of biking. Awards given to top TEAM in each division (2/3 family no bikes, 4/6 family no bikes - 2/3 family with bikes, 4/6 family with bikes).
