Boca Raton Youth Triathlon

This race will be held at the Peter Blum Family YMCA. The swim takes place in the YMCA’s 25-yard pool using a time-trial start format. After completing the swim, kids run to the transition area, which is located in the YMCA side parking lot and get their bikes to begin a looped bike course through quiet streets in the surrounding neighborhood. After returning their bikes to the transition area, kids run around the paths at the YMCA and finish on the field of the YMCA .
USAT INFORMATION:
All children must be a USAT member: $15.00
All children must abide by all USAT rules.
Race age is determined by the age you are as of 12/31/2018.

AGES AND DISTANCES:
*Note that race age is determined as of December 31st of the current year.
Trikes: 5-6 year olds: 25 yard swim/1 mile Bike/ .5 mile Run
Juniors: 7-8 year olds: 50 yard swim/2 mile Bike/ 1 mile Run
Seniors: 9 - 17 year olds: 150 yard swim/4 mile Bike / 1 mile Run
AWARDS:
All finishers will receive a finisher medal! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female overall and in each age group (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15 and over).

Youth Triathlon Transition and Information Clinic
This is the week before the first race in the Boca Raton Youth Triathlon series and will be perfect for kids who are racing for the first time on Saturday. Basic instructions about what you need to bring to a triathlon, how it works, and tips for the swim, bike and run. Get all of your first-time questions answered!
