Kids Competitive Triathlon
This exciting event is for kids 6 to 14 years old who are able to swim 25 yards unassisted and ride a bike without training wheels. This is a timed event, kids participating in the competitive triathlon must do so without the assistance of parents. During the race they may receive assistance only from race staff, lifeguards and race volunteers.
There will be a mandatory pre-race meeting and walk through at 9:30am by the kids transition area. During this meeting each stage of the race will be explained to the athletes. As a group they will walk down to the lake to begin the race. There will be several life guards in the water, the 25 yard swim parallel to the shore in water about waist deep and will begin with a group start by age group.
After a short jog to the transition area they will mount their bikes and begin the 1.2 mile bike ride. There will be several monitors on their bikes to ride along with the kids and volunteers at the corners to guide the way. For the run there will be monitors to accompany the kids as well. The race will conclude as the kids finish across the same finish line as the adults.
The kids will be body marked and must wear a timing chip (timing chips provided by race). Each athlete must have their own bike (no training wheels or tricycles) and helmet. No one will be permitted to compete without a helmet. Athletes must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted.
Pricing and sign up information is available on the registration page. Awards will be given to top finishers both male and female. Age groups will be 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-14.

Kids Non-Competitive Triathlon

This exciting event is designed for kids aged 6 to 12 years old who can swim 25 yards unassisted and ride a bike without training wheels. The Kids Non-Competitive Triathlon is not a timed event; instead, we encourage participants to focus on finishing safely and having fun. Parents are welcome to run and bike alongside their kids during the race, providing support and assistance throughout the transition.

During this meeting, each stage of the race will be explained to the athletes, emphasizing the importance of learning and enjoyment. Participants will then walk as a group down to the lake to begin the race, with several lifeguards present in the water. The 25-yard swim will start in a time trial format, allowing each child to enter the water safely.
