Option 1: Race 9:00 AM → Volunteer After
Start your day chasing your trail goals through peak fall colors in the rolling hills and golden grasslands of Shaffer Bend Recreation Area. After finishing your race and celebrating your achievement, transition into giving back by supporting other runners and helping with event operations using your fresh race experience.

Option 2: Volunteer First → Run After Your Shift
Begin as part of our trail crew, supporting runners as they experience the breathtaking transformation of Texas Hill Country in autumn. Witness the magic from behind the scenes at aid stations and scenic overlooks, then enjoy your own golden adventure with complete insider knowledge of the course's most spectacular viewpoints.

Volunteer Opportunities:

-Morning shifts: Support race start and early finishers
-Afternoon shifts: Aid station support, course cleanup, late finisher celebration

Roles: Aid station support, course marshaling at scenic overlooks, registration assistance, finish line support
