The Deland Family YMCA and Four Townes Family YMCA will be holding their Fall Kids' Triathlon this year on September 21st at 9:00 A.M. This race will be for kids aged 4 to 14 and will be around the beautiful neighborhood of Victoria Park. This event is a non-competitive triathlon that is meant to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. There will be multiple distance options for children to sign up for based on age and ability level.  Age groups are meant as a guideline.  Please select the group that is most appropriate for your child's ability level.  Bike helmets are required for all children.  All participants will receive an awesome race t-shirt and finisher's medal.

Bike Portion

The bike portion of the race will take place on the road around the Victoria Park Community Pool and the lake.

Bike helmets are required for all children!

BIKE DROP-OFF: Please drop all bikes off between 7:30-8:30 AM. The roads will be closed starting at 8:30 AM.
BIKE ROUTE: The bike route will vary by age group. Please look at the course maps and layout for more information on each age group's route. Parents are welcome to ride or run along with their child on the bike route. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! Bikes with training wheels are also allowed.

Run Portion

RUNNING ROUTE:
The running route will be either around Victoria Lake or around the swimming pool and park area. The route will be based on the age group. Parents are welcome to run with their child around the course.

Swim Portion

The swim portion of the race will take place in the Victoria Park Community Swimming Pool.

Suggested Age and Distances

Children 4 - 6 will swim 25 yard(1 length).
Children 7 - 9 will swim 50 yards (1 laps).
Children 10 - 14 will swim 100 yards (2 laps).

Swimmers will form one line for each level. There will be no waves, but rather a staggered start. A new swimmer will be introduced into the lane every 10 - 20 seconds. Parents wanting to swim with their children may start side-by-side at the same time with their children. If your child is not a swimmer, we encourage you to get into the pool with your child. Parents/Adults are encouraged to compete in all events alongside their children.
