Our Mission
PAWS for People is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of people in our community by
lovingly providing individualized, therapeutic visits with our specially trained volunteers and their certified
gentle, affectionate pets.
What We Do
PAWS certifies caring people and their well-trained pets (dogs, cats, and rabbits) throughout Delaware and the
surrounding counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. These volunteer pet therapy teams visit in a
variety of PAWS programs that address a range of physical, emotional, and mental health needs. PAWS
partnering sites include hospitals, eldercare facilities, rehabilitation centers, colleges, schools, libraries,
corporate offices, and more.
