NASA Employees and Badged Contractors may drive themselves to the Race Area at the Space Florida Launch and Landing Facility. Please email Hunter.Fitch@Volunteer.Cancer.org for details. Parking is limited and must be coordinated by Space Florida.
The Kennedy Space Center is a NASA facility and does not follow the same Base Access restrictions as Military installations. Only NASA Employees and Contractors with NASA provided access may enter the base on thier own. All other registered participants must enter through the Visitor Complex and use the complimentary Buses.

There is no Race Day Registration. Registration is required to close 1 week before the race in order to ensure all names can be provided to and screened by NASA security.
All participants must complete the course no later than 10:30a (2.5hrs) regardless of participation in the 5K or 10K. The Launch and Landing Facility is an active runway for operations at the Kennedy Space Center and must be cleared in order to resume flight activities.
No Pets are allowed due to NASA Restrictions. Registered Service Animals are permitted, but proof of registration may be requested by security.
Parking is provide at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex. Gates will open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 AM.

There is water provided on the course near the 5K and 10k halfway points provided by our sponsors Parrish Medical and Launch Credit Union.
Restrooms are provided via Porta-Potty at the Start/Finish area.
A complimentary bag check is available at the Race Area. Use of the Bag Check is as your own discretion and the American Cancer Society takes responsibility for lost or broken property as a result of the bag check.

The runway has a tendency to be very windy (depending on the weather) and participants often comment about being cold, even on warmer days.
Our event is Rain or Shine. Race Management will coordinate with NASA Safety to ensure of all participants, in the event of severe weather or the direction of NASA authorities, all race participants will be moved to the virtual challenge. No Refunds will be provided.
Yes, our race is open to all abilities and we do our best to accomodate all. Those using Handcycles or Wheelchairs are encouraged to arrive early to allow time to load equipment onto the buses and get you to the runway without delay.
At this time, we are unable to offer rentals of either, but can accomodate ones that arrive for the race.
All participants must go through a security screening at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex. All bags are subject to search and no weapons or alcohol will be permitted.

Your Race Bib is your identification while at the race. All participants must present Photo ID to collect your race packets.
Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be held in conjuncton with our Runner's Expo and Anniversary Dinner at the Hyatt Place, Cape Canaveral. The Runner's Expo and Packet Pickup will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 6th, 2026.
Day of Race Packet Pickup will be at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's complex. Gates to the Parking will open at 5:30 AM and Packet Pickup will open at 5:45 AM.
An Additional Pre-Race Packet Pickup is being planned with our Race Management at Running Elements in Daytona Beach, FL. More information to be provided soon.
The Buses will begin rotating between the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex and the Launch & Landing Facility at 6:00 AM and the last bus will depart at 7:00 AM. There are no exceptions for late participants. Buses will not resume for the return trip until at least 9:00 AM (Dependent on Participants Finishing the Race).
