History of Harrington Park ("HP") Fall Spectacular
Formed in 2002, the race was initally sponsored by the Harrington Park Community Parks Project, then the Harrington Park Sports Boosters and starting in 2017, the Harrington Park Road Runners Association (HPRRA). HPRRA is a New Jersey nonprofit corporation, section 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
HPRRA Mission
To organize and host the HARRINGTON PARK FALL SPECTACULAR - a day of fun, fitness, and community spirit - while soliciting, collecting, and managing funds raised through the event for the purpose of distributing DONATIONS to charitable and community organizations.
This year will be the 24th Annual Fall Spectacular, we will have a Kiddie Dash (6 and under), Mile Fun Run (9 and under), and the 5k. In 2025 we had 548 runners with 36 Dashers, 51 Milers, and 461 5k runners.
Donations are made to HP volunteer first responders, the HP library, the HP School System, scholarships to HP college bound high school seniors, and other local charitable and community organizations. Since inception, the HP Fall Spectacular has donated over $176,000.
