2025 I Scream for Ice Cream Ride

One of our most popular and well-attended events, the I Scream for Ice Cream Classic draws an average of 600 participants each year who come out to enjoy the scenic routes and the sweet celebration that follows. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual rider, there's something for everyone. Choose from a variety of routes ranging from leisurely tours to longer treks, and bring the whole family along.

You will roll through the beautiful Madison County Trail system, under leafy green canopies and that perfect summer sun. Along the way, you’ll hit fully stocked aid stations with cheerful volunteers keeping you fueled and hydrated.

🍨 Reward yourself at our post-ride party with a scoop of premium deliciousness from our friends at Bobbie's Frozen Custard, or make it a fizzy root beer float with Fitz Root Beer.  And for those who prefer a different kind of chill, we will have you sorted with a cold one from Perennial Artisan Ales!

Saturday, July 5 

5 - 7:30 p.m. - Early check-in option! (NEW FOR 2025!) Save time on ride day!  Pick up your wristband and check in the night before the ride, and be entered into a drawing to win one of two treat-filled I Scream for Ice Cream raffle baskets with fun items and gift cards from our sponsors! Location TBD

Sunday, July 6

• 6:15 a.m. - Registration opens
• 7:30 a.m. - Staging begins for the 51 Mile Ride
• 7:40 a.m. - Registration closes 
• 7:45 a.m. - 51 Mile Start*
• 8:00 a.m. - 35 Mile Start*
• 8:15 a.m. - 23 Mile Start*
• 8:30 a.m. - 10 Mile Start*

*Rolling group start led by a police escort. Once riders have been escorted onto the MCT Trail, they may ride at their own pace. The group start is not optional and is required by the City of Edwardsville.
