The Twilight 5K is Back!
The 5th Annual Run Morehead 5K will be on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Race Time- 6 p.m.
Day of Packet Pickup- 4:45-5:45 p.m.
Location- Rowan County Arts Center
Day Before Packet Pickup- Thursday, October 23- 5-7 p.m. at Morehead Police Department 309. West Main St. across from Walgreens
After a glowing success in 2024, we’re lighting up the the night once again!
This isn’t just a race- it’s a party with a purpose. All proceeds benefit Shop With a Cop, a heartwarming program where our local officers take children shopping for holiday gifts.
Dress Code: Wear your brightest colors and get ready to GLOW, or even your SPOOKY Halloween gear!
Participants will receive a race shirt, finishers medal, and the chance to win some awards.
Walkers are welcomed as are strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes. Music, food, and other festivities will be set up at the start/finish.
Shirts will be long-sleeved sizes S- 3X. If you need another size please check with us for the possibility.
Enjoy a run, walk, or stroll through Morehead as a part of the city initiative to keep people moving. The event will kick off at the Rowan County Art Center.

PACKET PICKUP: We will hold an advanced day Packet Pickup on Thursday, October 23rd from 5-7pm at the Morehead Police Department (Address: 309 W. Main St. Morehead, KY 40351, Across the street from Walgreens). Picking up for family/friends is encouraged with no credentials, paperwork or ID's necessary. We will also have race evening PPU at the Rowan County Arts Center from 4:45-5:45pm.

2025 Proposed Run Morehead 5K Route Map
The race is a loop course through downtown Morehead with start/finish at the Rowan County Arts Center. The entire route is on paved road surfaces and generally is a flat course. There will be one hydration station at about the 1.4 mile mark. This route is subject to change by the race date depending on construction on the Morehead State University campus.
