Description
The 3rd annual Julia's 3 v 3 soccer jamboree will take place on the Belchertown State Street Fields on Saturday, August 16th with a rain date of Sunday, August 17th. Funds raised from the jamboree will benefit the Julia Haynes Scholarship Fund in memory of Julia, who lost her courageous battle with brain cancer in March 2023.

Date and location: Saturday, 8/16/25 with a raindate of 8/17/25. Belchertown State Street Fields (across from Dunkin Donuts on State Street in Belchertown)
Registration: Team registration will open on 6/1 and close on 7/20. Registration for each team is $100 per team+ processing fee.
Team details:
Minimum of 3 players, maximum of 4 players.
There will be 8 divisions based on gender and age with a cap of 10 teams per bracket.
Please sign up for the division of the grade your players are entering for the upcoming school year
Teams can have players from both grades (or grades 9-12 for the HS teams) on their team within their division
Players can only be on 1 roster
If there are not enough teams entered in a division, teams may be moved up to play in a higher division.
Game format: Small-sided 3 v 3 games, 12 minutes per game. Number of games played will depend on registration numbers.
All participants will receive a free tshirt with additional shirts and sweatshirts for sale coming soon. Games will be officiated by volunteer referees.
Julia Haynes Memorial Scholarship
The Julia Haynes Memorial Scholarship is funded by generous donations in addition to the the Julia’s 3v3 Soccer Jamboree, a fun soccer event in the local Belchertown community. The annual soccer Jamboree was established in 2023 as an idea from four of Julia’s friends to keep her memory alive. A committee was formed and the event achieved great success in its first year thanks to the support of the community members and local businesses.
In Julia’s thirteen years, she demonstrated an attitude of positivity, determination and kindness. When she was diagnosed with cancer she continued to shine with these characteristics but also demonstrated her ability to persevere in the most difficult of situations. On the days she felt terrible, she attended school while in the hospital and remained focused to achieve her goals. The committee seeks to award two graduates of Belchertown High School each year who exemplify some of the same qualities as Julia.
The Class of 2025 scholarship recipients will be announced at the Belchertown High School Senior Awards Night on June 5, 2025.

The Julia's 3v3 Soccer Jamboree will be located on the State School fields in Belchertown. The fields are located across from Dunkin Donuts on State Street, and parking can be found at the Belchertown Senior Center, Belchertown Recreation Department, and along the street on Front Street.
