Walk for Life 2017

Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Concordia University!

This year, we have something for everyone – a sponsored Walk, a 5k Trail Race (age 10+), a Kids Sprint (ages 4-9), and a Diaper Dash (ages 3 and under). Every option has amazing prizes up for grabs! There will be breakfast and coffee, outdoor games, prayer and worship time, and a lot of chances to win gift certificates to cool places around town. Hot chocolate, coffee, and donuts will be provided. Early registration ends on August 1!

Registration Details: 

• Walk - no fee, please register yourself/team (at least $50 in sponsorships must be given to FLS before Aug. 20 to be eligible for t-shirt)
• 5k early registration fee - postmarked or online by Aug. 1: $25 (includes t-shirt)
• Student and Senior (55+) early fee - postmarked or online by Aug. 1: $20 (includes t-shirt)
• 5k late registration fee - after Aug. 1: $30 (includes t-shirt)
• Student and Senior (55+) late fee - after Aug. 1: $25 (includes t-shirt)
• Kids Sprint / Diaper Dash early registration fee - postmarked or online by Aug. 1: $5 (includes t-shirt)
• Kids Sprint / Diaper Dash late registration fee - after Aug. 1: $10 (includes t-shirt)

T-shirts and sizes only guaranteed if registration is postmarked or online by Aug. 20 for all registration types.

Event Details:

5k Trail Race:

• $200 Cash Prize for fastest runner under 16 minutes 
• Prizes for overall fastest Male and Female
• Male and Female age group awards: 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Kids Sprint:

• For all kids 4-9 years of age
• Prize for overall winner
• All kid finishers receive a prize

Diaper Dash:

• For ages 3 and under
• Prize for overall winner
• All kid finishers receive a prize

1 Mile Walk:

• We are encouraging teams of walkers this year: families, groups of friends, businesses, churches, sports teams, etc.
• It's easy! 1.) Rally friends or co-workers 2.) Pick a team name 3.) Register your team members 4.) Start raising money!
• There is no entry fee for walkers. Teams who are walking are encouraged to raise money together for Family Life Services.
• Walkers who raise over $50 each (before Aug. 20) will receive a t-shirt
• Prize for the individual who raises the most money
• Prize for the team that raises the most money
