Due to the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, we have decided that for the health and safety of our participants along with the success of the event, it is best to postpone our MISH Experience Paddle Triathlon event until 2021. We feel this is the best way to do our part in the nation's fight to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We understand that this an inconvenience for people who have planned and trained for our event date and hope that all of you are able to join us on our rescheduled date.

The MISH Experience is Extreme! Racers will begin the race on a kayak or paddleboard with a 3 mile open water PADDLE. Starting at the Terrace Bay hotel, the route will follow the Little Bay de Noc shoreline on Lake Michigan to the Gladstone Beach. Upon arrival at the beach, racers will transition to their bikes staged in Van Cleve Park. The BIKE portion of the race will take riders through the City of Gladstone and up to Rapid River along Bay Shore Drive. Returning back to Van Cleve Park, racers will dismount from their bikes and finish the last stretch of the race on foot. A 5K RUN will follow the Lake Michigan shoreline along the brand new waterfront non-motorized trail, finishing at the Terrace Bay Hotel.
Sign up with friends and create a team to split up the disciplines. Teams can consist of 2 or 3 members and disciplines can be split however you wish.
Race registration includes official timing, race T-Shirt, finisher medal, hot food and 1 free beer.
Participant packets can be picked up on Friday from 5-7pm, or Saturday from 6:30 - 7:30am at the Terrace Bay Hotel.
Bikes and kayaks/sups can dropped off in staging areas on Friday from 5-8pm or Saturday morning from 6-7am.
Bikes will be staged in VanCleve Park, in Gladstone. Kayaks will be staged at the boat launch at the Terrace Bay Hotel.
Participants are required to provide their own equipment for the race (bikes, kayaks/ SUPs). We have a limited supply of rental kayaks, SUP and single speed cruiser bikes available. Kayak and SUPs can be rented for $25 each. Bikes can be rented for the Pedal/Paddle only for $20 each. Rentals available for selection through registration process.
Water stations will be positioned along the route along with Hammer Nutrition Gel and Heed Sports drink.
Awards will be given for 1-3 place overall (male & female) as well as 1-3 place for 10 year age brackets.
