Join the Human Race on August 19th!
Humanitarian Social Innovations (HSI) invites you to join The Human Race — a virtual event with no physical location – you can run, walk or ride on your own or make it a group activity by gathering your family, friends and community. Why August 19th*? Because it's World Humanitarian Day, a global observance honoring everyday heroes who uplift others through acts of compassion.
* Run, Walk or Ride your distance anytime between August 16th and August 24th. This gives you plenty of time to complete your event, with two weekend options!
HSI provides support and serves Lehigh Valley-based, global organizations and charitable programs that improve the quality of life for humanity. Every Day. By participating in The Human Race you’ll join HSI and their 60+ programs in a worldwide movement of supporting good people and programs, by running, walking and riding together.

How To Register:

Decide which event you'd like to do: 5K Run, 5K Walk or the 50K Ride.

Click Sign Up under the event of your choosing. If you have a RunSignUp account, log in and your information will auto-populate. If you are new to RunSignUp, you will need to enter information to create a new account. You can register for yourself or add a new person. If you prefer a manual entry form, please email the race director: amy@amywolff.com.

Once you've selected your event, you'll be prompted to the "Join an Existing Team" page. This way the organization who directed you to the Human Race event knows you signed up for them. If you aren't sure which program to support, that's OK! All proceeds benefit HSI and all of their 60+ programs.

After you've joined a team, you'll be prompted to sign the event waiver.

Decide if you would like to receive a race medal (guaranteed for the first 250 participants).

Opt-in for additional event emails and instructions and select your timezone.

Complete your registration by hitting "Continue" and submitting a form of payment.

You will receive a confirmation email of your event registration.

Entry to the virtual Human Race 5K Run, 5K Walk or the 50K Ride

Finisher medal* (*guaranteed for the first 250 participants; local pickup and shipping available).

Invitation to an in-person event in the Lehigh Valley on World Humanitarian Day on August 19, 2025. Location to be announced soon!

Official (digital) race bib sent via email. If you did not registered but did not receive your bib, access your bib anytime via your RunSignUp profile.

This August, HSI is celebrating World Humanitarian Day on August 19th by coordinating a global, virtual race called "The Human Race". This day honors all individuals around the world that are making a difference in their communities by providing aid and hope to others in need. Our race will unite people and programs from across the globe — all in support of HSI’s mission to serve and support people who make an impact.
This event will not only raise essential funds for our growth — it will celebrate how HSI has activated and empowered necessary programs and fostered positive outcomes in communities in need. Be a part of this first-time event and celebration of our work! Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000 and include regional and global support recognition, opportunity to race along with us, complimentary tickets to our annual meeting, and options to be with us for a finisher event.
