Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run 5 & 10 K

Run where it’s level!

FNLT is proud to be back with the 14th Sasquatch Preservation 5K & 10K Trail Run held at the amazing, FNLT preserved South Branch Farms.   The Sasquatch is chip timed and the start for BOTH RACES is 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025.   

The Sasquatch is a great trail run for beginners to advanced runners – all about having fun and supporting FNLT’s land preservation across York County!  Is it tough?  That depends who you ask… as tough as you want to make it be!

Once featured as one of Runner’s World magazine’s America’s Top Trail Races, The Sasquatch is off-road (save for one – safe – road crossing) with cross-country and trails on varied terrain and elevation through farmland, woods, pastures and streams. On the course you’ll find bugs, birds, deer, turkeys, owls, foxes, coyotes, snakes and…. yes sasquatches!  The 10K has climbs including OVER the historic Howard Tunnel / Rail Trail.  Both runs cross the Codorus Creek near the finish.  As course designer Rob Kinsley states, “If you’re not wet and dirty, you’re disqualified!”  

After the race, participants can enjoy some great donated fun from our supporters, including a light lunch from Rockfish Hospitality, fruits from Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market, and adult beverage sampling from Brewery Products (21+ with ID).  We’ll have something special for the kids too, stay tuned.

BRISK PACE PREFERRED – we respectfully ask that if you wish to walk or hike, you participate in the 5K event only.

South Branch Farms is a beautiful, preserved landscape – but let’s not forget it is PRIVATE property, so please - no trying to run the course before or after the race.  We don’t have a map, nor is the course marked outside of race day.  Since this is an active farm, please NO ANIMALS to be brought to the event.  Due to the terrain, no strollers. Please carpool if you’re able.

Register right here (or send a check to FNLT).  Pricing is $30.00 through August 24th.  
Shirts are an additional $8.00 per person.  
On August 24th the price increases to $35.00 with NO shirt option 
**shirts are always popular, but no - we do not do additional orders – so register early!**  

Early packet pick up is at Fleet Feet York starting on or before Thursday, September 4th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  Fleet Feet York is located at 1511 Mount Rose Avenue in York, PA.  Thank them for all they do in our community!  Race day registration starts at 7:30 AM.  

AWARDS & PRIZES
Race finishers earn a collectible Sasquatch Preservation Trail Run patch from our friends at Valley Products Co.!  Prizes are then awarded for both the 5K and 10K – Top Three Male & Female get a prize pack from our friends at Run PA. 
Top Three Male & Female Age Groups (14 & Under,15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over).  
We also add random prizes and giveaways – in the past folks left with Rev tix, pies, peaches, apples, sweet corn… you never know!
