5K Love Run

The 5k is a Certified Course USTAF TN24038MS, timed course. 
The fun run is a 1 mile timed course.

Is there race day registration for the 5K Race?
There is race day registration but will end 30 minutes prior to start of race. Registration on race day will only be available on the registrants smart phone, laptop, or tablet.

Are strollers allowed in the race?
We want our race to be a family oriented event so we are allowing strollers to participate as long as they start near the back of the pack. It is very congested the first mile of the race and we want to keep everyone safe. So please use extra caution and please stay safe.

Are dogs allowed to run the race with us?
With large crowds pets can be excitable and with that said we would like to ask that your pet (regardless of size) be left at home for this event.

Can unregistered runners run with registered runners in the 5K Race?
We ask that you not allow anyone to participate in the race if they have not registered. We have record of all registered runners and once they have all completed the race we know the race is completed.

Can I volunteer for the event?
We greatly appreciate volunteers and you will receive a shirt if you sign-up before February 20.

PACKET PICK-UP
Early Packet Pick-Up is on February 26, 2026 from 11am - 6pm at Fleet Feet in Knoxville, 11619 Parkside Dr., Knoxville, TN 37934
Can someone pick up packets for multiple racers or simply for someone else?
YES, just make sure they can verify personal information for the individual or each person on the list when picking up their packets; information needed is name, DOB and age.

Participants will be assigned a unique personal url when they register. The participant can encourage their friends to use this url when they register for this event. The system will maintain a count of the number of registrations for each url. When five participants have registered using a participant's personal url, the participant with that url will receive a retroactive refund of $5 to the credit card that they used for registration.
 

This event offers a virtual component. Participants in this event will be able to run or walk the 5K distance (3.1 miles) on the course that they choose anytime between February 10 and midnite February 28. Participants can run the course that they choose as many times as they desire during this time frame. Participants will have access to the RaceJoy application which will allow them to use this phone application to monitor their distance and time on the course. The application will also allow them to upload their time to the virtual results page on RunSignup. Virtual participants will receive an event shirt which must be claimed at packet pickup. The USATF certified course is eligible for utilization of the RaceJoy app. Participants in the 5K Open event on February 28th will be able to use the app to monitor their progress on the certified course. They can also share the app with family or friends so that they can monitor the participant's progress on the course and send them cheers as they proceed on the course.
