🏊♂️🚴♂️🤸♂️“LET’S TALK PREPERATION”🏊♂️🚴♂️🤸♂️
For all of the lucky triathletes & duathletes that got in the 2026 Kid’s Rock Tri & Du on June 13th, we will email out a “Let’s talk preparation” email on Wednesday, June 3rd.
If you don't get it, please check your spam/junk folder as sometimes it ends up there. Please move it to your inbox so that you get future updates.
If you still don’t see it, no worries, all of that same information is below.
The Scoogie Events CREW is so excited to see all of you in less than 2 weeks!
We're doing our part to make sure that race morning is an AWESOME EXPERIENCE for ALL OF YOU!
You will be emailed a packet pick-up & race day details email on Saturday, June 6th.
But, in the meantime, to make this event an awesome experience for you, there are a few easy things that you can do NOW so that you don't stress and try to do them all last minute.
1. IMPORTANT:
Get your gear checked.
Get your bike (and helmet) checked out by a local bike shop to make sure they are BOTH in working order!
(Check out our Scoogie's Bike Check List graphic below)
2. Get out on your bike.
Once your bike has been all checked out and it's good to go, get out there (WITH YOUR HELMET ON) and try out your bike.
Go to a safe location (with NO CARS) and do some practice rides. (Get your parents to dust off their bikes and get out there with you)
3. Get everything ready way before race day!
(Check out the helpful hints graphics below)
4. Practice everything!
(even practice your transitions)
THIS SECTION IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT!
EVERY TRIATHLETE & DUATHLETE
is responsible to review the course maps below and become familiar with each one BEFORE race day!
It’s very important that each athlete know exactly…
HOW MANY LAPS THEY WILL SWIM,
HOW MANY OUT & BACKS THEY WILL BIKE,
AND WHERE EXACTLY THEY WILL RUN.
Yes, there will be certified lifeguards at the pool and PLENTY of very experienced Scoogie Events CREW members out on the course directing the athletes and ensuring the safety of each athlete.
BUT each athlete needs to know how many laps they will swim, how many loops they will bike and exactly where they will run!
PLEASE REVIEW DISTANCES
