Description
This event is ONLY open to Girls on the Run Greater Boston Spring 2025 participants, coaches and 5K buddies. It is not open to the general public.
Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone who participates in our 5K receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.
Girls on the Run participants and coaches are already registered for this event and DO NOT need to register again.
This event will take place rain or shine. Please plan to join the celebration, whatever the weather brings!

We are excited to bring together over 180 teams from throughout greater Boston for our Celebratory Spring 2025 5K!

7:30 AM Coach check-in and participant arrival
8:45 AM Same day registration closes
8:50 AM Pre-Race program starts
9:00 AM 5K begins
10:30 AM Event comes to a close
What is a 5K Buddy?
A 5K Buddy is 16+ years of age and can be a parent/guardian, family member, neighbor, teacher, GOTR coach, or anyone else your participant would like to run with. 5K Buddies support their Girls on the Run participant by encouraging them to complete the 5K at their "happy pace."
If you’re having difficulty finding a 5K Buddy, please let your coaches know. Your child can be paired with a volunteer 5K Buddy. All volunteer 5K Buddies are vetted and background checked by GOTR Greater Boston.

NEW FOR THIS SEASON!
- Pre-Race bib & t-shirt pick-up is available for non-Coach 5k Buddies or for teams picking up for all participants
- NEW: One (1) Coach or Designated Caregiver per team can pick up all the bibs (participants, coaches and 5K Buddies) by emailing their GOTR staff contact by Thursday, May 22nd. We will only be able to provide 5K buddies who have registered by this date.
- 5K Buddies may pick up packets for individuals but must communicate this ahead of time - please reiterate this to your families!
- 5K Buddies can register at bib pick-up
Can't make it to an Early Packet Pick Up Location?
5K Buddies will be able to pick up their items at the Registration Tent at the 5K. The tent will open at 7:30 am. Girls on the Run participants will receive their 5K bibs from their Coaches at the 5K.
