First Responder 5K Run and Walk

The 2025 “First Responder 5K Run and Walk” is being held on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at the Wolf Swamp Fields in Longmeadow, MA. The event is organized to recognize the strength, perseverance, and courage of Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, 911 Operators, Hospital Staff and their families in our local communities.

This year’s event will benefit the Thin Blue Ride, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (ID# 81-4463644). Thin Blue Ride’s mission is to provide crucial support to military veterans, first responders and their families when diagnosed with cancer, while honoring their courage and dedication. Through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, they aim to alleviate their burdens and stand united in gratitude for their service. Visit their website at www.thinblueride.org

Update 09/19/25… sometime news can be good and sometimes very bad. Unfortunately weeks ago, at the UMass Amherst Police Department, Officer Malone’s young daughter Alia Rose was diagnosed with leukemia. Following the mission of the Thin Blue Ride charity, this years event will now also be supporting Alia for each event t-shirt purchased. So if you cannot attend the event or just live to far away but want to support Alia, you can do so by purchasing an event t-shirt. Like any family battling cancer it can be a tough road but with the help of community support it makes each day better. Event t-shirts can be purchased for $20 which includes the cost of shipping. Youth and adult sizes are available.

Awards will be given out to the top 3 male and female finishers. Awards will also go to the top division finishers in both male and female divisions (Under 18, 19-29, 30-49, 50+). No double dipping with awards.

Early online registration till 10/05/25 for $25.00 and guarantees an event t-shirt.

Late online registration from 10/06/25 to 10/17/25 and race day registration is $30.00 and does not guarantee an event t-shirt.
