Velkommen! The Greenville Danish Festival is pleased to host the annual Danish Dash 5K Run/Walk and half-mile Kids Fun Run on Saturday, August 16!

5K Run/Walk
The USA Track & Field certified 5K course begins and ends on Faber Street near Baldwin Heights Elementary School. It travels through wooded Tower Park, past historic Manoka Lake, around beautiful Baldwin Lake, past scenic views of Taylor Hops, and concludes with a gradual hill up Marvel Drive. The Danish Dash is a timed event with medals awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in these categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, and 75 and over.

Register by August 8 to be guaranteed a race shirt. Extra shirts will be available on race day, but quantities and sizes will be limited. Shirts will be handed out on race day at check-in, starting at 7 a.m.

You can register online, even on race day, but race shirts cannot be guaranteed for those registering after August 8.

$30 until 8/08 (shirt guaranteed).
$35 from 8/09 to 8/15 (shirt not guaranteed).

Half Mile Kids Fun Run/Walk
The half-mile Kids' Fun Run is perfect for kids of all ages who might not be ready for a 5K, but who still want to join in on the fun! The course begins and ends on Faber Street near Baldwin Heights Elementary School. Click on the PDF below to see the course route.

Register by August 8 to be guaranteed a race shirt and a goody bag for your child! Race shirts for the Kids' Fun Run are $15 and will be handed out on race day at check-in (anytime between 7-8:15 a.m.).

All participating children will receive a Kids' Fun Run medal.

Parents are welcome to run with their kids, but do not need to register.

Price: Free to run, but $15 for a kid's shirt (must register by August 8 to be guaranteed a shirt).
