Description
Welcome to the 3rd annual Tiger Tri triathlon put on by the University of Missouri (Mizzou) triathlon club! This race will be hosted on Sunday, February 1st at the Mizzou Rec 1000 Rollins St, Columbia, MO 65203.
Race Distances
- 500m pool swim (50 meter pool)
- 10 mile bike (stationary bikes)
- 5k run on our outdoor track (We will use the indoor track depending on the weather).
General Information
Doors to the Mizzou Rec will open at 10:00 AM for athletes to check in. Heats will start at 11:00 AM and go every 45 minutes. There is no set time that you must show up by, but there will be a required meeting 15 minutes before each swim start on the pool deck so plan accordingly with your heat time. Heat assignments will go out a few days before the race. Lockers and space for athletes backpacks will be provided. After each leg there will be ~10 mins gaps before the next leg starts in order to provide athletes time to change clothes. Athletes will be allowed to clip into spin bikes with SPD (mountain bike) clips if they choose. SPD-SL clips will not work with our spin bikes. There will be awards given out for top finishers for each gender in each category.
Note for Collegiate Athletes
This race does qualify one for Nationals, but is not scored within the conference.
