OCEAN SPRINGS, MS

1 or 2 mile Open water swim in the Mississippi Sound in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.  Swim event is wet suit legal if water temperature is below 78 degree; no snorkels/fins allowed.  Race is weather dependent and may close at discretion of organizers.

The Swim
 
The courses for the 1 and 2 mile open water swim parallel the beach in Ocean Springs, with the 2 mile turnaround just beyond the iconic Ocean Springs-Biloxi bridge. The water is perfect for the first time open water swim participant, with the beach always in sight and little tidal action.  The race will also appeal to the seasoned open-water swimmer, as we use chip timing with an in-water start.

The Fun
 
Our credo is, if you are going to get up on a Saturday morning and push yourself, there should be a great payoff at the end. We live by this credo, so after the race we make sure you get some great food and drink with a chance to relax and recap your morning. We also make sure that everyone leaves with one the best swag bags in the region!
