China Camp State Park is a Bay Area Gem

A 1,514-acre park nestled along the shoreline of San Pablo Bay. Since 2012, when the State of California suspended funding for 70 states parks, including China Camp State Parks, Friends of China Camp 501(c)(3) a non-profit organization has been maintating and operating China Camp State Park. Thank you FOCC!

SGRAIL takes on China Camp State Park like no other Half Marathon, one giant loop touring the all the parks features. Over 13.1 Miles the course boasts over 1,250' of elevation gain. Most of the vert you will experience will be after Aid 2 when you turn off of Shoreline Trail and head up on Bay View Trail (575' of vert from Miles 6 - 8).

McNears Beach Start -> Shoreline Trail is mostly paved (0.8 Mile Segment)

Shoreline Trail -> Aid 1 is a variety of single track and wide fire road trail (1.0 Mile Segment | 1.8 Total Miles to Aid 1)

Aid 1 -> Aid 2 all on Shoreline Trail (4.2 Mile Segment | 6.0 Total Miles to Aid 2)

Aid 2 -> Bay View Trail -> Back Ranch Fire Trail > Bay View Trail -> Oak Ridge Drive -> Shoreline Trail -> Aid 3 is all single track, elevation and wide fire road trail (5.2 Mile Segment | 11.2 Total Miles to Aid 3)

Aid 3 -> McNears Beach Finish (1.8 Miles)
