About the Planet Fitness Mayorthon
What races are included in the Planet Fitness Mayorthon?
The Planet Fitness Mayorthon is a four-race series that includes:
Race the Runway 5.02K – August 2, 2025
Louisville Pure Tap® 5K – August 23, 2025
Bourbon & Beyond 5K – September 13, 2025
Thru the Ville 5K – November 22, 2025
Registration & Eligibility
When is the last day to register for the series?
The final day to register for the Planet Fitness Mayorthon race series is August 2, 2025.
Do I have to register for the series to receive the Challenge Coin, or can I register for individual races?
To be eligible for the Mayorthon Challenge Coin, you must register for the Planet Fitness Mayorthon series.
Participants may still register for individual races and will receive the race-specific shirt and finisher medal for those events.
Participant Perks
What do participants receive?
All participants will receive race-specific shirts and custom finisher medals for each race they complete.
Participants who complete all four races in the series will also earn a Mayorthon Challenge Coin.
Participation Guidelines
Are walkers allowed to participate?
Yes, walkers are welcome.
Are headphones or personal music devices permitted?
Yes. Headphones and personal music devices are allowed; however, participants are asked to keep the volume at a reasonable level for safety and courtesy. You should be able to hear nearby participants and volunteers.
Are strollers allowed?
Yes. Strollers are permitted, but participants using strollers will be asked to start at the back of the starting chute for safety reasons.
What types of wheelchairs are allowed?
Push-rim wheelchairs are the only style permitted. The top male and female wheelchair finishers will be recognized.
Course Amenities
Will there be water available on the course?
Yes. All races will include water stations along the course. Participants may also bring their own water bottles.
Will restrooms be available?
Portable restrooms will be available at the start/finish line and at the water station.
Timing, Awards & Policies
Do I need to return my timing chip after the race?
No. Disposable timing chips will be used and do not need to be returned.
Will the races have awards?
Yes. Awards will be presented to the overall men’s, women’s, and non-binary winners, as well as to the top three finishers in each age group:
14 & under, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, and 75+.
Participants who register for the Planet Fitness Mayorthon series (not individual races) and complete all four events will also receive the Mayor’s Challenge Coin, presented at the final race in the series, the Thru the Ville 5K.
What is the cancellation policy?
All registrations are non-refundable.
