What is the Mixed Team Relay in triathlon
The Mixed Team Relay is a fast, short-format triathlon where teams of four athletes (2 men + 2 women) each complete a minitriathlon before tagging the next teammate.
What is the race format?
Each athlete completes:
Swim: 330 yrds (300m) (The water is only 3’ to 5' deep and so you can stand up)
Bike: 3.0 Miles (5.8 km)
Run: 0.6 miles (1 km)
Then tags the next athlete.
What is the order?
Woman → Man → Woman → Man.
How long does the entire race take?
Most races finish in 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes total.
Each individual leg is about 20 –30 minutes.
Then the transition area will be converted to party and celebration zone.
Timing and race winner determination?
The clock starts when the first athlete begins and stops when the fourth athlete crosses the finish line.
Race results are based on the final 4th person crossing the line.
Each athlete will have a chip for their own splits and race results.
Time is continuous, there are no breaks between athletes.

After the first person, finishes the swim, bike, the run leads you straight into the handover zone, where you simple touch the next person, who then runs off to the swim entrance.
The handover happens in a 15-meter exchange zone.
The incoming athlete must have a clear hand-to-hand touch (usually on the back or hand) inside the designated tag zone to the outgoing athlete.

If you have a team of 4 (2 females and 2 males) then you enter under the team tab. ($200)
