Due to the continued challenges posed by COVID-19 we will be unable to hold the upcoming Try a Tri for Hospice scheduled for September 5, 2020. We were looking forward to another record setting year of fundraising for AuthoraCare Collective (formerly Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro) and are saddened that we will be unable to produce this event for our community.
We have two choices for our participants who have already registered for the 2020 event:
Participants who are currently registered must provide a response as to which option they would like by August 24, 2020. Participants who do not respond by that date will have their registration fee donated to AuthoraCare Collective.
Registration will continue to be open for those who would like to sign-up and have their registration fee donated to AuthoraCare Collective. We thank you for your continued support and understanding.

The Ridgewood Try a Tri for Hospice is a great late season pool-swim triathlon. The event will take place at the Ridgewood Swim and Tennis Club, located in Guilford County, just outside of Greensboro, NC. Thanks to our generous sponsors, 100% of your race entry fee will go directly to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro. The race begins with a 200-meter swim; athletes then will transition to a rolling 10-mile bike (roads are open to traffic) and finish with an out and back rolling 2-mile run in the Ridgewood neighborhood. If you are new to the sport of triathlon or looking for a short, fast course, this is the event for you. Please note that this event SOLD OUT last year and we have placed a cap of 175 racers for 2020—don’t miss out, sign-up early!
Note: Anyone who registers after 8:00 PM on Friday 9/4/2020 will be added to the back of the Swim Start Waves
