New Bern Autism 5K Run/Walk Fun Day
 Saturday, April 25, 2026 | Union Point Park | 8 AM – 2 PM

Presented by There’s A Way StyronDavis Resource Network, Inc.

Step into purpose. Walk for love. Run for understanding.

The New Bern Autism 5K Run/Walk Fun Day is more than a race—it’s a heartfelt movement for acceptance, connection, and change. Held in the heart of downtown New Bern with the scenic beauty of Union Point Park as our backdrop, this annual event gathers people from all walks of life to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with families affected by autism.

Now in its fifth year, this event is a vibrant celebration of resilience, joy, and community unity. It is a day to uplift the voices of autistic individuals, to honor their journeys, and to walk alongside the parents, siblings, caregivers, and advocates who support them every single day.

We run for those who can’t yet speak.

We walk for families who feel unheard.

We gather so no one feels alone.

Why It Matters:

Autism is not a limitation—it’s a different way of experiencing the world. But for too many families, the path to understanding, services, and support can feel isolating and overwhelming. That’s where There’s A Way StyronDavis Resource Network, Inc. steps in—connecting families with vital resources, education, peer support, and advocacy, especially in underserved and rural communities across Eastern North Carolina.

When you participate in the New Bern Autism 5K, you become part of that mission. You help us open doors, build safe spaces, and create possibilities where once there were none.

What to Expect on Race Day:
A scenic 5K course along the waterfront with runners, walkers, and teams united for a cause

A joyful Kids’ Fun Run designed to celebrate the energy and enthusiasm of our youngest supporters

A Resource & Vendor Fair offering autism-friendly products, services, and community connections

Music, dancing, live entertainment, games, giveaways, and food trucks—making this a full Family Fun Day

A powerful Autism Awareness Ceremony honoring our children, families, and advocates

 Walk. Run. Celebrate. Unite.

Whether you’re running in honor of your child, walking for a friend, supporting as a volunteer, or cheering on the sidelines—you belong here. Every step you take, every donation you make, and every moment you share helps us build a more inclusive, compassionate world for individuals with autism.

This isn’t just about miles.

It’s about milestones.

It’s about breaking down walls, building each other up, and celebrating every unique light in our community.
