Event Description
The 35th annual Uwharrie Mountain Run offers challenging, winter, single-track trail runs of 8, 20, and 40 miles in central North Carolina’s Uwharrie National Forest. Rocks, roots, creeks, cookies, and handmade pottery awards make Uwharrie a perennial favorite among both recreational and elite trail runners.

UWHARRIE SWAG AND AWARDS
All participants will receive a long sleeve race t-shirt, complimentary parking and shuttles, well stocked aid stations, and plenty of food and refreshments at the finish line. Awards are a special tradition at Uwharrie, a region known for its beautiful pottery. All finishers receive pottery awards that are hand-crafted by Michael Mahan, a local Seagrove potter. The top 3 male and female winners in each race will receive handmade commemorative pottery and top overall male and female overall will also receive Altra shoe certificates. Awards are presented as runners finish.
