Our inaugural 2026 Harmon Field Half Marathon and Morris Fun Run was an overwhelming success! It is with great joy that we will hold the second annual race on April 24, 2027. We're excited to continue supporting Harmon Field with this much-loved, scenic, out-and-back 13.1-mile race through the beautiful "Hunting Country" of Polk County, NC, along with the fun run held at our beautiful park.

Our vision for the inaugural race was to bring together runners, walkers, spectators and families for a day of fitness, fun and community impact, and we did exactly that. With exactly 250 registered participants, plus spectators and vendors, the race exceeded all expectations and raised over $11,000 for Harmon Field.

Our unique half marathon course has been loved by runners for many years, and we hope you'll join us again on this beautiful out-and-back route. The Morris Fun Run stays within Harmon Field.

Every registration supports Harmon Field, the beautiful park that hosts the race. Last year's runners, walkers and families raised over $11,000 for the park, and we'd love to top that together.

Meet Morris! Morris is the beloved Tryon Horse, and you can find him at the intersection of Trade Street and Pacolet Street in downtown Tryon. Don't forget to stop by and take a selfie with him while you're in town!
