Honoring comfort, dignity, and love.
The 1st annual “Run to Remember” will be a community-based 5K run/walk dedicated to raising funds and awareness for hospice care in the greater Rochester area. This event will provide individuals and families a meaningful way to honor loved ones who have received hospice services, while reinforcing the mission of compassionate, end-of-life care.
Join us on race day to:
- Honor loved ones who have received hospice care.
- Raise funds to expand and sustain hospice services and support programs.
- Increase awareness of the value, availability, and dignity of hospice care.
- Build a network of community support, healing, and shared experience.
Race Start:

9:30AM for both the 5K and 1.25 Mile Walk
Participant Shirt
The final shirt logo will be designed over the summer by a child from Camp Heartstrings, our three-day bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one
Must be registered by 10/11 to guarantee a shirt. Please note: Design and color subject to change based on availability.
Packet Pickup Info
There will be two opportunities to pick up your race packets:
1. Saturday, October 24th, 2026, from 9am to 4pm at Fleet Feet @ the Armory: 155 Culver Rd, Rochester, 14620
2. Race Day - Sunday, October 25th, 2026, from 8:30am to 9:25am at Genesee Valley Park - Roundhouse Shelter
It is NOT advised to wait until race day to get your packet

Fundraising with the Hospice 5K is an easy way to help UR Medicine Home Care continue to provide hospice service to the families who need it. All the money you and your teams raise will go directly to expanding and sustaining existing hospice programs across the greater Rochester area. Additionally, you can purchase a memorial sign with the name of your loved one to be placed at the finish of the race. Signs are $25, all proceeds go towards UR Medicine Home Care.

Top 3 Male and Female - Fleet Feet Gift Cards ($40, $20, $10)
Top 3 in 10 year age groups (10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up) - we do not double dip
Parking
The Intercampus lot at UR will be available for parking. Please refer to the following map on how to get there on race morning.
