Lane lines will be in an 8 lanes, 50 meter pool. So you will swim down and back (circle swimming) lane 1, then duck under the lane line, and goes down and back lane 2, etc… until the last lane, you will only do 1 length, making a total of 750 meters. It can get congested becasue a new swimmer starts about every 10-20 seconds (started by the timing company). So it is valuable to have a an accurate prediction of your swim time so you limit the times you are passing others, or they are attempting to pass you.
13.5 mile BIKE: This is an out and back BIKE path with only 3 turns. It is a scenic ride along 424 that is well maintained road. There are a few small hills, and significant hill at the 1/2 (turn around) point.
3.1 mile RUN: This is an out and back RUN path. It is a scenic run on the towpath trail along the Maumee River. There is a water station just after the 1 mile mark, then you will continue into the park area to find the turn around, and you will pass by the water station again on the way back to the finish.
