Race Information
Red Coyote is kicking off 2026 with Puppy Love 5K on Sunday, February 22nd at 2PM at Stars & Stripes Park in OKC. Run, walk, jog, and stroll with your pups and support the mission of 405 Animal Rescue with one of our favorite races of the year. 405 Animal Rescue will also bring some adoptable pups—come to the race ready to meet (and maybe even adopt!) a new running buddy!
Puppy Love 5K is 100% dog-friendly for well-socialized pups on a leash; please bring potty bags to clean up after your dogs on the course.
Run with your pup or without—this is a fun, family-friendly race for all abilities and paces. We also invite you to join in the fun with our costume contest—we'll have a special prize for the dog/owner with the most amazing costume!
All finishers will receive a Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K medal and shirt—get a sneak peek of the design during registration!
Winter running weather in Oklahoma can be unpredictable. In the event that we are unable to run, Red Coyote will postpone rather than cancel the event. Our preliminary weather backup date is currently set for Sunday, March 1st but we will announce and confirm within 24 hours should a reschedule become necessary.
405 Animal Rescue
405 Animal Rescue is our beneficiary partner organization for the Puppy Love 5K and we are proud to partner with them and support their critical mission. We invite you to donate or visit their website to learn more about how you can get involved as a volunteer.
An estimated 11 million cats and dogs are killed in United States shelters each year. 405 Animal Rescue strives to help beat those odds as much as possible by rescuing animals off death-row and euthanasia, rescuing unwanted animals, promoting spay and neuter, microchipping to increase the return-to-owner rate, socialize and rehabilitate mentally and physically abused animals, and much more. We go above and beyond to adopt our our wonderful, deserving animals out to approved homes to kick start them into their new lives, full of love, happiness and security.

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be held at Red Coyote OKC in the Classen Curve: 5720 N. Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118, on the following dates:
- Friday, February 20th from 10AM-7PM
- Saturday, February 21st from 10AM-6PM
We will also have pickup available on site at the race starting at 1:00PM, but we strongly suggest everyone pick up their packets in advance to avoid lines and delays at the event.
Want to pick up a packet for a friend or family member? You can! Just let us know when you're getting your packet if you need to pick up for someone else.
